SHOWROOMS: Heaven or H*ll

Having great trade partners can make a huge difference in helping your business run smoothly and create ecstatic, loyal clients. Showrooms are a key piece of this network! Vendors must not only showcase excellent quality goods, but must communicate well, offer meaningful trade discounts, and ship quickly. Plus, they must be able to efficiently resolve any problems when they arise (and you know they always do!)
On the flip side of this coin, a bad experience with a showroom can make your life a living h*ll! No one likes the stress of dealing with an angry, unhappy client. Not to mention, a botched order has the potential to erode your profit margins. Based on the many spirited discussions found on Social Media, this is obviously a hot topic for many.
On September 30, Susie Feia of Feia Construction will be hosting #KBTribeChat on “Showrooms: Heaven or H*ll”. If you manage a showroom, or your product is offered in a showroom, join us to get valuable insight from those who order from you. And if you’re a designer who uses showrooms, now is your chance to offer your feedback knowing many brands will be listening!!

Here are our discussion questions:

• What factors make you loyal to a showroom?

• How important is trade pricing and exclusivity to you?

• If there’s a problem, how can the showroom best help?

• How would you like showrooms to improve?

• How best can a showroom support you in closing the sale with your clients?

• How likely are you to order from a brand that only has an on-line presence (no physical location)?
