Clarifying the Trends

A kitchen and bath industry design discussion!

Q1) Are your clients looking for something their neighbors and friends don’t have yet? If so how do you give it to them?

Q2) Is black the new white for trophy kitchens? We’ve seen this reported a lot lately. What about gray?

According to Forbes, Christopher Peacock (luxury cabinet brand) and Newell Turner (the editorial director of Hearst Design Group) say that the open kitchen is going out of fashion. ““The wall has gone back up because nobody really wants to live in the kitchen all of the time,” Turner says. In its place he is starting to see kitchens that include some of the elements of the open kitchen, such as seating, or even fireplaces, but that return to the enclosed space it once was.”

Q3) Is the open plan kitchen is on it’s way out?

Unfinished business from last week’s #KBtribechat discussion:

Q4) True or False – There are differences between generations in what they want for their kitchens and bathrooms and how they shop for them. Please explain your view.
